RE: My experience with ART

My job as a tennis instructor requires hitting hundreds and hundreds of tennis balls every day.  Along with the normal aches and pains associated with sports, I occasionally have to deal with more serious problems such as tennis elbow and shoulder strains.

I have tried many methods of relief including medication, supports, but nothing has had the immediate impact that ART has provided for me.  Since my first visit to Dr. Wells, I have not had to rely on the use of any supports or time off to heal.  I highly recommend ART to anyone seeking relief from annoying pains of repetitive sports injury.

RE: Active Release Technique (ART)

Dr. Wells,

My husband and I would like to thank you for all the help and hope that you have given me through Active Release Technique.  Upon my first visit to your office, there wasn't one day that went by without severe debilitating neck / upper / lower back pain from a prior MVA four years ago.  I, in my mid thirties, walked hunched over like an older lady with osteoporosis.  When the first Active Release Treatment was complete, my husband made the comment, "Can you tell that you're standing upright?"  I replied, "Yes and I don't have to tell myself to exert extra energy to just stand upright."  My husband and I are convinced that Active Release technique is the way to go.  I tried physical therapy, I had been on narcotics and muscle relaxant meds, and nothing compares to the results of Active Release Technique.  You only had to give four treatments to set me on the way to recovery, and I might add a maintenance treatment never hurt once in a while either.

Dr. Wells please keep up the GREAT work and we tell everyone about the Active Release Technique that we come in contact with!

Sincerely,

J. C. and B. C.

RE: ART

I had been seeing Dr. Wells for approximately eight weeks concerning back and hip pain when I mentioned that my hands would begin a tingling sensation during the night similar to a foot going asleep.  Initially, the tingling sensation was noticed in my right hand, but over a period of weeks both hands would tingle.  I would awaken, shake my hands or try to massage them for circulation.  This happened from one to three times a night.  My sleeping position changed to my back or side to support the procedures Dr. Wells was doing for my hips, but my hands continued to tingle and awaken me.  Dr. Wells discussed the possibility of carpal tunnel syndrome and suggested the Active Release Method to help reduce the tingling sensation.  After the Active Release Method and with periodic hand exercises which Dr. Wells demonstrated, the sensation in both hands was not just reduced; the tingling sensation had completely stopped. It has been several weeks since the Active Release Method has been performed and the tingling has not reoccurred.  I have been very pleased with the Active Release Method results.  I tell my friends that Dr. Wells is a miracle worker!

RE: Active Release Technique (ART)

Dr. Wells,

Just a note to update you following my Active Release treatments.  As you may recall, I came to you after undergoing an MRI for RUE (right upper extremity) numbness that had been ongoing for 2-3 months.  My physician had recommended that I consult you for possible treatment with Active Release.

I am currently symptom free and have been since the second treatment.  My ROM (range of motion) has returned and I am able to return to all of my normal activities.

Thanks again,

D.H.,RN

RE: Active Release Technique

I recently suffered from right shoulder pain due to a weight lifting injury.  After trying several different methods to help alleviate the pain with no success, I contacted Dr. Steve Wells.  After only (4) treatments of active release technique, I had improved by 90% with a pain free range of motion.  I highly recommend Dr. Steve Wells and his active release technique for soft tissue injuries.

Yours in Health,

Dr. B.J.II, D.C.

RE: Active Release Technique

Several months ago, I began having numbness and severe pain in my right hand and forearm.  It would wake me up in the middle of the night many times per week.  At first, I thought "Eventually, it'll go away" and tried not to worry about it.  I was wrong, it didn't go away-it got worse.  I made an appointment with Dr. Wells and after just a couple of sessions, the pain was definitely less severe.  His techniques worked on exactly the right area and after a few more sessions my arm felt normal again.  I could have saved myself many sleepless nights had I decided to see Dr. Wells sooner.  He definitely comes highly recommended by me!
